Softball Preview: Billings Wildcats vs. Southwest Trojans
The Billings Wildcats will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Southwest Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Billings is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 18-3 to Reeds Spring on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
Meanwhile, Southwest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Exeter by a score of 17-16 on Monday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Southwest got a massive performance out of Kaleigh Tull, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacee Durossette, who went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
