Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Danica Darby and Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti Lead Bloomingdale to Victory

Bloomingdale won the last time they faced Durant and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulls managed a 12-6 victory over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulls.

A big part of Bloomingdale's win came down to the chemistry between Alexa (Lexi) Serniotti and her top target Danica Darby. Serniotti threw for 188 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Darby picked up 88 receiving yards and two scores. The dominant performance also gave Serniotti a new career-high in rushing yards (85).

Bloomingdale's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.3 points on average over those games. As for Durant, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Coming up, Bloomingdale will face off against Gibbs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulls 10.6, the Gladiators 7.5) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Durant, they will head out to face off against George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
