Baseball Recap: Ballard's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Ballard and Ingraham, and Ingraham kept the tradition alive. The Beavers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ballard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Truitt Madonna, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Ballard's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Ingraham, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Ballard will take on Eastside Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Beavers 2.3, the Crusaders 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Ingraham, they will face off against Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lynx will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
