Football Recap: South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls vs. Union Academy Cardinals
After losing to Union Academy the last time they met, South Stanly decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls managed a 20-14 win over the Union Academy Cardinals on Friday.
South Stanly's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Ethan Gaddy was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sackshimself. Carter Callicutt was another major factor on D, making 14 total tackles.
Despite the loss, Union Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Parker Frashier rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 219 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.
