Soccer Game Preview: Grapevine vs. Plano

The Grapevine Mustangs will square off against the Plano Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Grapevine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Grapevine fell victim to Hebron and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. That's two games in a row now that Grapevine have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Plano, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Decatur on Friday as they made off with a 7-1 victory.

The win got Plano back to even at 1-1. As for Grapevine, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Grapevine beat Plano 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2018. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
