A-6 Southeast (6 Man) recap October 29, 2013

Liberty/Stratton added to the longest winning streak in A-6 Southeast (6 Man) this week by beating Mountain Valley, 54-18. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Liberty/Stratton took down the Indians 54-18 last week, the largest margin of any game. Trevor Thompson threw for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Eads's dynamic duo of Tyler Rouse and Caden Parker proved tough for Primero to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Rouse threw for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns and Parker had 103 yards receiving. Blaine Winder helped Eads' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 38 yards.

He went 12-19 with 0 interceptions.

Winder was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Eagles beat the Bulldogs. He forced 2 fumbles and grabbed 1 sack.

5-foot-8 quarterback David Mettee of Deer Trail is the league leader in passing yards this season with 804. He has also thrown 9 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jaxon Crawford. The Kit Carson star has 36 catches for 486 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Toby Kechter's team takes on Flagler. At the moment, the Eagles are in first, while the Panthers are in fourth.

Flagler led the league in scoring this week after putting up 72 points on Cotopaxi.
