White Plains put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's ninth consecutive shutout on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Fox Lane Foxes a 12-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Alexis Tighe made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Galligani was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Neela Older, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

White Plains hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in six consecutive matchups.

White Plains' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fox Lane, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.

Coming up, White Plains will venture away from home to take on Ossining at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pride have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Fox Lane, they will challenge Somers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
