Salida is 6-1 against Ellicott since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will host the Thunderhawks at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Salida has three straight victories, Ellicott has 18 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Salida was able to grind out a solid win over Woodland Park, taking the game 3-1.

Salida walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 22-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Ellicott came up short against James Irwin on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Ellicott's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Salida, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Salida took their victory against Ellicott when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
