Basketball Recap: Life Prep Takes a Loss

Life Prep lost against North Kansas City back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Life Prep Fire opened the new year with a less-than-successful 56-49 defeat to the North Kansas City Hornets. The Fire have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Life Prep lost, don't look at Quinton Rolle Jr. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Rolle Jr is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Akari Major, who posted five points and four steals.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 7-5. As for North Kansas City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Life Prep will take on The New School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Kansas City, they will challenge Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
