Volleyball Recap: Highland Trojans vs. Munster Mustangs

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Munster Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12, 25-19.

Hannah Ladewski paced Highland's offense, picking up seven kills. Ladewski got some help from Alivia Ekanem and her seven assists.

Among those leading the charge was Leah Selin, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high. Morgan Trotter also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-22. As for Munster, their win ended a seven-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-24-1.

Highland has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against East Chicago Central on the 16th. As for Munster, after both having extra time off, they and Hammond Central will shake off the rust and duke it out at 10:00 a.m. on the 18th.
