Basketball Game Preview: Yuma Criminals vs. Cibola Raiders

Yuma is 0-10 against Cibola since December of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Yuma Criminals will look to defend their home court against the Cibola Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cibola is hoping to do what Coronado couldn't on Friday: put an end to Yuma's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Yuma was the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over Coronado. While the Criminals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cibola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Mountain Ridge 69-22 on Friday.

Cibola pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Yuma, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Yuma took a serious blow against Cibola in their previous meeting back in January, falling 72-20. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Yuma was down 47-10.
