Ray dropped their record down to 17-11 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Carroll Tigers by a score of 8-7. The Texans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

LUCAS TINAJERO was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, AIDAN ORTIZ was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was OJ RUIZ, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

As for Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-21 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.

On Carroll's side, the team relied heavily on Prince Roland, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Roland has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-21 otherwise.

Ray has already played their next match, a 7-3 win against Gregory-Portland on the 28th. Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
