Palisades has gone  a perfect 8-0 against University recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Dolphins will look to defend their home field  against the Wildcats  at 7:00  p.m. Palisades knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully University likes a good challenge.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Palisades and Venice meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Friday. The Dolphins skirted past the Gondoliers  56-54.

Palisades' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Jack Thomas led the charge by throwing for 473 yards and five  touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 52 yards. With that strong performance,  Thomas is now averaging an impressive 313.7  passing yards per game. Another rusher making a difference was  Harrison Carter, who gained 187 total yards and three touchdowns.
 Palisades didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Tavian Talbert,  Demare Dezeurn,  and  Enzo Allen picked up one apiece. Allen is also crushing it when it comes to  total tackles: he's   made at least six every time he's  taken the field this season. Dezeurn got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, University hadn't done well against Hamilton recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Wildcats won a  game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Yankees 27-26. The score was all tied up  14-14 at the break, but the Wildcats were the  better team in the second half.
University found their leader in sophomore  William Biddle, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of  scores.  Messiah Burton was in the mix  as well, providing the Wildcats with one TD.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: University was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 207  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton only  rushed for 41.
 Palisades' victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for University, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Everything came up roses for Palisades against University in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  56-14 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Biddle, who rushed for 87 yards and two  touchdowns on only seven carries.
