Volleyball Recap: Memorial Has No Trouble Against East Palestine

Memorial lost to East Palestine back in August of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Memorial never let East Palestine on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-22.

Memorial's offense was headlined by Jada Smith and Elysia Rudolphi, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Da'Janelle Will and her 29 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for East Palestine, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Looking ahead, Memorial will face off against Lake Center Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East Palestine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
