Softball Game Preview: Frontier Titans vs. Centennial Golden Hawks

For the second straight game, Frontier will face off against Centennial. The Titans will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Golden Hawks at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Frontier 3.9, Centennial 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Frontier fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Centennial on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Hawks by a score of 5-4. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their meetings with the Golden Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

For Centennial's part, Brynlee George spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 13 hits. George has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kloie Wetmore, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lundyn Harrison, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Centennial moved to 14-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Frontier, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.
