Softball Recap: Steele Comets vs. Elyria Pioneers
After only one run in their last contest, Steele made sure to put some runs up on the board against Elyria on Wednesday. The Comets never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won seven in a row.
The team relied heavily on Allie Jackson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Rhodes, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Steele always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elyria only posted an OBP of .111.
