Baseball Recap: Pomperaug Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Pomperaug was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Immaculate on Wednesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 10-0 loss.

Pomperaug got a massive performance out of Kyle Parker, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Parker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Pane, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Pomperaug kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Pomperaug's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Immaculate, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6.
