The Clay Center Tigers will take on the Valley Heights Mustangs on Tuesday. Clay Center has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Last Friday, Clay Center humbled Abilene with a 58-25 victory. That looming 58-25 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tigers yet this season.

Meanwhile, Valley Heights didn't have too much trouble with Chapman on Friday as they won 49-35. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Irish are ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clay Center is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points over those games. As for Valley Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
