Basketball Recap: Eureka Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Eureka extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Megan Johnson. The Eureka Vandals blew past the Wells Leopards 43-21 on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Hannah Bliss was another key player, putting up four points along with six rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Wells, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-5 victory against Jackpot on the 18th. Wells has also already played their next contest (against Lund), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
