Basketball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sauk Rapids-Rice last Friday, Buffalo came back down to earth. The Buffalo Bison were beaten by the Eden Prairie Eagles 77-48 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

It was another big night for Rae Ehrman, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 11 boards for Eden Prairie. Ehrman is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cam Dennin, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Eden Prairie, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Buffalo will take on Edina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buffalo is facing Edina at the right time seeing as Edina is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Eden Prairie, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
