In other batting news, Riley Coughlin and Laila Golda did most of the damage at the plate: Coughlin went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Golda went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and one double. With that strong performance, Golda is now averaging an impressive 2.3 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Natalie McOwen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Mount Mercy Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Mount St. Mary Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Sacred Heart Academy on Monday and fell 3-1. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It's a different story for Mount St. Mary Academy, though, as they've only averaged .339. Will they be able to contain Mount Mercy Academy's hitters?
