Softball Recap: Eastern Randolph Takes a Loss

Eastern Randolph fell victim to Providence Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Eastern Randolph dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Providence Grove, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Eastern Randolph Wildcats duke it out with Ledford Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Providence Grove, they are taking a road trip to face off against Morehead at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
