Basketball Recap: Fort Campbell Takes a Loss

Fort Campbell won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They were outmatched by the Christian County Colonels and fell 76-41. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-21.

Fort Campbell's loss came despite strong showings from Tyrek Anthony and Israel Dillard. Anthony dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards, while Dillard dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Dillard has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played. Cameron Henderson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Fort Campbell dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Christian County, they moved to 4-17 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Fort Campbell has already played their next matchup, a 67-50 win against Crittenden County on the 3rd. As for Christian County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-30 defeat against Warren Central on the 28th.
