Baseball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Valley Buffalos. The matchup marked the Badgers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wayne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Hinkle, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Hinkle has hit this season.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Wayne will face off against American Heritage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Valley, they will take on Panguitch at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Buffalos surely won't give up without a fight.
