Football Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Lexington

Lexington took a 25-point defeat the last time they faced off against Clear Fork, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Minutemen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 win over the Colts on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Minutemen considering their 13-point performance the contest before.

Lexington pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.7 points over those games. As for Clear Fork, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lexington will host North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clear Fork, they will be playing at home against Ontario at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Colts their first taste of in-conference action this season.
