Football Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Polytechnic was feeling good fresh off their 51-0 takedown of New Designs Watts last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a blow against the Chadwick Dolphins on Saturday, falling 50-6. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 602nd, while the Dolphins are ranked eighth).

Bryson Edgar produced another solid performance throwing for 211 yards and a pair of TDs on only 18 passes, while also rushing for 81 yards and one score on only 11 carries for Chadwick. That's the most passing yards Edgar has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Malik Sims, who gained 69 total yards and two touchdowns.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chadwick, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polytechnic will face off against Hillcrest Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chadwick, they will square off against Mammoth at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dolphins will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
