Terre Haute South Vigo had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Riverton Parke Panthers by a score of 7-3. That's more bragging rights for the Braves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Emma Cesinger spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Samarra Newburn and Lakyn Hadley did most of the damage at the plate: Newburn went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Hadley went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Newburn continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Maiya Childs also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Terre Haute South Vigo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

As for Riverton Parke, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

On Riverton Parke's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haylee Mathas, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Terre Haute South Vigo has already played their next game, a 17-9 loss against Living Water Homeschool on the 22nd. As for Riverton Parke, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-4 victory against Clay City on the 22nd.
