Softball Recap: Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle vs. Victor Valley Jackrabbits
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Excelsior Charter, Academy of Careers & Exploration was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Victor Valley Jackrabbits with a sharp 20-6 victory. The Eagle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.
Izabella Sanchez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (two). She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
