Volleyball Recap: Oak Mountain Academy Extends Winning Streak to Five

Oak Mountain Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Covenant Academy Rams by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 22-25, 25-19.

Oak Mountain Academy found their leader in sophomore Alaia Bhojani, who had 24 digs and ten aces. Those 24 digs set a new season-high mark for Bhojani.

Oak Mountain Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive games.

Oak Mountain Academy now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Covenant Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Mountain Academy will host Harvester Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Covenant Academy, they will challenge Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
