Sherman is 1-9 against Scott since March of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tide will head out to challenge the Skyhawks at 4:30 p.m. Sherman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Sherman came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Belfry by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Tide's loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Sherman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Hamrick, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another was Luke Tagliente, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Scott earned a 9-4 win over Roane County on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Louden White, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Easterling, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Sherman's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Scott, their win bumped their record up to 12-4-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sherman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Scott struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Sherman couldn't quite get it done against Scott in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can the Tide avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
