Basketball Recap: Orofino Comes Up Short

Orofino was the 43-30 winner over Clearwater Valley when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Orofino Maniacs fell to the Clearwater Valley Rams 43-39.

Clearwater Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eva Lundgren out in front who went 7 for 17 on her way to 15 points. Sypress Martinez was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Orofino has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Clearwater Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Orofino will head out on the road to face off against Kellogg at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Clearwater Valley has already played their next contest (against Lapwai), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
