Football Recap: Alex Rockafellow's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Perry over Saranac

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 26-13 to the Saranac Redhawks. The Ramblers were not able to make up for their loss to the Redhawks from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Several Ramblers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Rockafellow, who picked up 156 receiving yards and one score. Rockafellow really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 99 yards. Jacob Adkins was another key receiver, picking up 85 receiving yards and one TD.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Saranac, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will face off against Bath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ramblers will be up against the Fighting Bees' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Saranac, they will take on Laingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
