Soccer Game Preview: Bishop McGuinness vs. Piedmont Classical

The Bishop McGuinness Villains will square off against the Piedmont Classical Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Piedmont Classical will be up against a hot Bishop McGuinness team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Bishop McGuinness never let Carver get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Thursday. Considering Bishop McGuinness have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Carver from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Nikki Hofer led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Piedmont Classical brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Triad Math and Science Academy on Tuesday. Piedmont Classical haven't had any issues with Triad Math and Science Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Bishop McGuinness' win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Piedmont Classical, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Bishop McGuinness took their win against Piedmont Classical in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. Does Bishop McGuinness have another victory up their sleeve, or will Piedmont Classical turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
