Basketball Recap: Northern Durham Gets the Win

Northern Durham's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Riverside-Durham Pirates by a score of 31-23. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Pirates back in January, they had to take a 35-29 loss.

Despite the defeat, Riverside-Durham saw an underclassman step up: freshman Au'Nehstii Hagans made all 5 shots she took racking up 10 points. That was a full 43.5% of Riverside-Durham's points, marking the fifth time in a row Hagans has posted more than a third of the team's points. Saniya Thurman was another key player, putting up six points.
