Volleyball Recap: Gaston Comes Up Short

Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vernonia Loggers. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Loggers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Vernonia, their win ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-16.

Looking ahead, Gaston will venture away from home to square off against Knappa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vernonia, they will face off against Faith Bible Christian at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
