Flag Football Recap: Air Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Air Academy finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took an 18-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elizabeth Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Kadets of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Nadia Anderson threw for 164 yards and two TDs. Leah Dreessen was her top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.

Among those leading the charge was Lacy Antinora, who rushed for 31 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 153 yards and one TD. Those 31 rushing yards gave her a new career-high.

Air Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Elizabeth, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Air Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 33-6 victory against The Vanguard School on the 2nd. As for Elizabeth, they have also already played their next game, a 52-6 win against Lincoln on the 1st.
