Basketball Recap: Brillion Skates Past Southern Door with Ease

After losing to Southern Door the last time they met, Brillion decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Brillion Lions blew past the Southern Door Eagles 57-30 on Monday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

Brillion's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden Hale, who posted 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Brooks, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Brillion is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Southern Door, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Brillion will face off against Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southern Door, they will take on Sturgeon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern Door is facing Sturgeon Bay at the right time seeing as Sturgeon Bay is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
