Volleyball Recap: Platte/Geddes Black Panthers vs. Miller Rustlers

Platte/Geddes came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Miller Rustlers. The Black Panthers haven't had much luck with the Rustlers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Platte/Geddes was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Miller work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-21.

Jolie Palmer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Platte/Geddes' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Miller, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Platte/Geddes will head out to face off against Chamberlain at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miller, they will square off against Wolsey-Wessington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
