After a string of three wins, Edgewood Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights 34-28. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Micah Andrews had a dynamite game for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, going 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Fitch, who posted six points in addition to seven boards and six steals.

Edgewood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they pushed their record up to 3-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Banks Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Macon-East Montgomery Academy will take on Escambia Academy in a holiday battle at at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
