Baseball Recap: Newton County Comes Up Short

Newton County lost against West Lauderdale last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars fell 7-3 to the Knights. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newton County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for West Lauderdale, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Newton County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-10 victory against Lake on the 12th. As for West Lauderdale, they will challenge Neshoba Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
