Basketball Game Preview: North Hollywood Huskies vs. Hoover Tornados

The North Hollywood Huskies will take on the Hoover Tornados at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

North Hollywood is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over East Valley. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

North Hollywood can attribute much of their success to Nick Goldsman, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten steals, and Alex Luis, who went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points and four steals. What's more, Goldsman posted three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Caymen Smith was another key player, putting up five points along with nine boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, Hoover didn't have quite enough to beat AGBU on Saturday and fell 61-59.

Everything came up roses for North Hollywood against Hoover when the teams last played back in December of 2015, as the squad secured a 94-51 victory. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tornados turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
