Recap: Philo Electrics vs. Meadowbrook Colts

There's no place like home for the Philo Electrics, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-48 victory over Meadowbrook on Friday. The score was all tied up 27-27 at the break, but Philo was the better team in the second half.

Philo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Talon Preston led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Rusty Trout was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bentley Sedor, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Ray, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Philo's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Meadowbrook, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Philo won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Coshocton at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. Coshocton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Philo in Ohio (Coshocton is ranked 263rd, while Philo is ranked 645th). As for Meadowbrook, they will head out on the road to square off against West Muskingum at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Muskingum is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
