Baseball Game Preview: MacArthur Brahmas vs. Boerne-Champion Chargers

For the second straight game, MacArthur will face off against Boerne-Champion. The Brahmas will square off against the Chargers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (MacArthur 3.3, Boerne-Champion 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

MacArthur heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They lost 6-0 to Boerne-Champion. The shutout was out of character for the Brahmas seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Wyatt Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.

Boerne-Champion's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for MacArthur, they moved to 20-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
