Baseball Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Takes a Loss

Wallace-Rose Hill fell victim to East Duplin and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Wallace-Rose Hill has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. East Duplin now has a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Wallace-Rose Hill will head out to square off against Southwest Onslow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Duplin, a feisty cat fight will be fought as East Duplin Panthers take on James Kenan Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James Kenan has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something East Duplin will no doubt try to take advantage of.
