Football Game Preview: Clinton County Bulldogs vs. Metcalfe County Hornets

Clinton County is 2-8 against Metcalfe County since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clinton County is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Green County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bulldogs took a blow against the Dragons, falling 50-20. The Bulldogs gained 75 more yards on the day, but it was the Dragons that made the best use of them.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaxson Mason, who threw for 234 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 36 yards. Kasyn Massengale was Mason's top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Metcalfe County was beaten by Elizabethtown 39-6 on Friday.

Metcalfe County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Clinton County, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-7.
