Baseball Recap: Elida's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

Elida blew Lima Central Catholic out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Lima Central Catholic got their revenge. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since April 28th.

Elida saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan McGue, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

With the defeat, Elida broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-10. As for Lima Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.
