Basketball Game Preview: River Forest Ingots vs. Hobart Brickies

River Forest hasn't had much luck against Hobart recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Ingots will take on the Brickies at 7:00 p.m. River Forest is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

If River Forest beats Hobart with 60 points on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Ingots walked away with a 60-53 victory over North Judson-San Pierre on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Hobart hadn't done well against Calumet New Tech recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Brickies blew past the Warriors, posting a 70-36 win.

River Forest better keep an eye on Ryan Basham. He was instrumental in Hobart's win, putting up 27 points. Another player making a difference was Erik Kingery, who posted 12 points.

River Forest's record now sits at 3-1. As for Hobart, their record is now 2-0.

River Forest came up short against Hobart in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 69-61. Can the Ingots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
