Basketball Recap: Appleton North Takes a Loss

Appleton North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Neenah Rockets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lightning this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-59 back in December of 2024.

Appleton North now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Neenah, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Appleton North will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Neenah has already played their next contest (against Kaukauna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
