The Evangelical Christian Eagles will head out to square off against the Northpoint Christian Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evangelical Christian has given up an average of 32.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Evangelical Christian came up short against Lausanne Collegiate last Friday, falling 42-17. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Lynx are ranked 44th).
Although Evangelical Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Ezra Caswell and Sammy Owens.
Meanwhile, Northpoint Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 42-20 margin over the Chieftains. That 22 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.
Northpoint Christian's win came from a few key players Evangelical Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Palmer King, who rushed for 19 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 77 yards and one TD. Matthew McDaniel also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.
Northpoint Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 280 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Evangelical Christian ended up a good deal behind Northpoint Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, losing 31-14.
