The Augustine Prep Lions will take on the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Augustine Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while Living Word Lutheran is ranked 64th).
Last Thursday, Augustine Prep lost to Salam on the road by a decisive 59-40 margin.
Meanwhile, Living Word Lutheran can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 74-32 victory over Kenosha Christian Life.
Living Word Lutheran found their leader in underclassman Elaina Raymond, who scored 16 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Raymond hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Delaney Winkelmann, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Augustine Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Living Word Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0.
Augustine Prep suffered a grim 63-39 defeat to Living Word Lutheran in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Augustine Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
